Shoulder Strap Connectors

Description

Make your lamellar assembly easier with pre-cut straps that have the proper hole spacing and size already in place.  You can stitch this leather piece into a row of lamellar with a little pre-planning. This is for a non-buckled strap connection which is preferred for the front of the lamellar. This connection can also be used for the back as well. Extra holes should be drilled or punched into the plate so the lacing will have a firmer attachment. The “bottom” hole set is not utilized for A plates, only D plates.  These pieces are laser cut from 7-8oz (0.125 in ~ 3 mm thick) vegetable tanned leather.  The leather is then conditioned by soaking in neatsfoot oil for 24 hours to protect it from weathering and sweat.
